OIL PAINTING WITH ASHLEY IS A SERIES OF STUDIO BASED PAINTING CLASSES

Mornings feel magical as we ground into our easel space and sink into this time that is specially carved out for oil painting at the studio.

Together in our painting community class, we will learn [real deal] painting techniques, colour theory, self-expression and all the fancy artsy things that will help unlock your child’s creative potential. Each day we will complete different components of our painting, starting fresh each morning. Students will be guided through specific painting compositions and bit by bit we will transform a blank canvas into a beautiful expression of our snowy owl paintings. Your child will create a beautiful oil painting in these classes!These are carefully curated painting experiences so we can maintain a cohesive learning rhythm and problem-solve collectively.

LOCATION: The Imagination Studio, 186 Marsh Street, Clarksburg

Three day camps are awesome because it gives families total weekend and long weekend flexibility without missing a day of camp!

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

✬ Access to artist quality oil paints, specific oil brushes,PAInT palettes, oil mediums and spirits, easels, artist canvas +/OR substrates and supplies

✬ Aprons will be provided for use during classes

✬ Guided instruction, mindful leadership, an inspiring young painting community, INTUITIVE play time, friendship and memories that’s last a lifetime ♡

STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS DAILY:

a backpack with…

★ a litter-less lunch + snacks

★ full large water bottle

★ slipper are recommended for the winter studio classes

★ art friendly clothes (oil paint does not wash out)

★ outdoor gear appropriate for the weather

★ a curiosity to learn

INVESTMENT: $300 + HST

DATES: ☀︎JANUARY 3-5, 2023

AGES: 6-12

CAMP HOURS: 9AM-1PM

These painting classes require your cool kid to participate within in the flow and rhythm of the class. It requires concentration and a group commitment to work through the painting process. If you child prefers to run free all day or struggles with structured guided lessons [and hey I get that!], this isn’t the program for them. We will have a beautiful nutrition break daily when free play and unstructured time in nature is encouraged and nurtured to balance our art-making experience. Kids need to be comfortable in the great outdoors and dress for the weather.

Cancellation & Refund Policy: FULL PAYMENT IS DUE AT THE TIME OF ENROLMENT. REFUNDS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR CUSTOMERS WITHIN THE FIRST 7 DAYS AFTER REGISTRATION. PLEASE NOTE A $75 NON-REFUNDABLE BOOKING FEE WILL BE APPLIED TO ALL REFUNDS. Refunds will not be given after the 7 day booking period, and no adjustments, credits or postponements will be made for missed or partially attended classes- this includes if your child is sick or there are schedule conflicts. You may transfer your spot to another participant no less than 48 hours before the program start date. To do this, please email theimaginationstudiomail@gmail.com to request instructions for doing this. Transfers without the proper form requests submitted within this period will not be accepted. Transfer forms must be filled out by the parents/legal guardians of program participants.

BOOKING ETTIQUETTE: When you register your child for a class, you are committing to saving your child’s spot in that program, camp or workshop. Wether you book when a program launches, is mid-launch or last minute, you are holding this spot, and in doing so, that spot may not booked by anyone else. When you book, you agree to the refund and cancellation policy as clearly outlined. If you have any questions, please reach out *prior to booking and help and clarity will be offered. Not all classes, programs or workshops have waitlists. Please do not assume a cancellation request will be honoured because of a waitlist. There is not always capacity to tend to waitlists during certain times. Please understand that materials are specially ordered, gathered and prepared for classes based on registrations. That involves time, investment and energy. Please also understand that admin time is spent organizing classes as well as bookkeeping time, energy and costs. There is already so much work and investment that goes into these programs and offerings before your kiddo enters the studio doors. Please do not ask for credits for future use. Thank you for respecting the program boundaries.
