WAXED CANVAS ADULT WORKSHOP
Totally hands on and aromatically delicious, join me at the studio for a warming winter workshop where we will learn to true at to waxing canvas. I will guide you step by step through the waxing process and teach all about the secrets of this versatile art. This workshop is all about stepping up into the eco people we should be and starting the new year with a gorgeous and practical plastic free lifestyle element. You can choose if you want to wax a cotton tote bag or handmade lunch bag! Waxed canvas looks like leather and is tough AF like leather too. But guess what, it’s also waterproof! So goodby soggy tote bag, hello sweet smelling bag hero.
So what does a yellow fisherman suit have to do with waxed canvas? Everything. And I’ll tell you all about it during the workshop. Waxed cotton canvas is a rare example of a fabric invention that has stood the test of time. This workshop might inspire you to wax an old canvas backpack, transform that old canvas jacket or just show off your new lunch bag a week, a month, a lifetime, who knows.
All skill levels are welcome. Bring good friends and celebrate your creativity in style at the studio.
Workshop includes: your choice of either a handmade lunch bag or a pre-made canvas tote , guided instruction from Ashley, good company, a cup of tea and studio time.
